The Presidential Election

The election of the President takes place in four stages:

1.-During the time from February until June in the election year
supporters of the Republican and Democrats in each state
choose in Primaries or State Conventions the National Convention.

2.-The National Convention of the Republican and Democrats chooses
the Presidential candidates from July until August.

3.-At Tuesday after the first Monday in November in leap years
the people in each state choose the list of Presidential electors for that
   state(Republican or Democratic list).
  -The set of electors
with the largest number of votes is chosen and wins all the electoral
   votes of the state(winner-take-all vote).
-Each state has as many electors
as it has Senators and Representatives in Congress(complett in USA 538).

4.-The electors from all the states(elector college)
cast their votes for their Presidential candidate
at Election Day(the Tuesday following the first Monday in November).
-To be elected President a majority of 270 out of 538 electoral votes is needed.
